PROCESS OVERVIEW

Initial contact and thumbnails

After filling out the request form, linked here and at the bottom of this page, I will send you an email to confirm I've received your request and go over the requested details.Once the commission is accepted, I will send a PayPal invoice to the email provided. At least 50% of the invoice must be paid before I will begin work.PLEASE NOTE If you are an author, I make it a point to read any book I've been commissioned to draw for. If your book has not been published yet but you are comfortable sending me an ARC, please let me know! If you don't have a copy I can read, that's fine as well, I've just found I can get better ideas if I'm very familiar with the characters and story.After we've talked about ideas and details, I’ll provide a set of 6 black and white thumbnails. After one thumbnail is chosen, I’ll refine the sketch to get a clearer idea of the illustration. If you aren't a fan of any of the thumbnails, no problem! We will only move forward once you find something you're excited for.
When the cleaned up sketch is finished, I will send it to you for approval, after which I’ll begin the rendering process.It's important to know that during this time and throughout the commission process, I will have a separate PDF made for notes and image references. If at any time you have details about your characters you forgot to mention, please let me know and I'll make sure to write it down!

Rendering process

Rendering is the longest portion of any illustration process. I like to give myself a lot of time to give extra attention to detail and provide a quality product. My illustrations tend to take anywhere from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months, depending on my work load and personal life.During this process, I will be in continual communication with updates on the illustration. In general, I tend to try and over-communicate rather than under-communicate! But if you ever feel like you haven't heard from me and want to check in, always feel free to reach out.At this stage, please do not be afraid to reach out to me with anything you think needs to be adjusted with the piece. The most important thing is that at the end we have a product we're proud of.

Once the commission is complete, I will send over the illustration. As a standard, I’ll provide a copy of the master PDF file, along with a PNG. Additional files can be sent upon request.All invoices MUST be paid before files can be sent.Refunds will be issued depending on the completion of the project. Refunds will not be issued after completion of the project.

all pieces will come with a signed artwork release form granting the client and any representatives rights to the piece

i do offer payment plans and I am willing to work with limited budgets. Please contact me directly if you have budget constraints but would like to work with me.

book covers

$400-$700

Pricing starts at $400. Basic package includes a standard e-book cover with text design. Additional charges will apply for wrap and jacket designs depending on the complexity of the illustration.

art prints and page overlays

to allow for ideal composition, the prices listed below are inclusive of all commissions intended for print. this gives the artist flexibility to bring your scenes to life and ensures a high quality illustration.

couple: $350

terms of service / copyright and usage policy

I, the artist, hold every right to the produced drawing. I am allowed to:-Promote myself using the drawing-Display the drawing on any social media platform-Display the drawing in any location I choose

The client may use the product for:-Personal use only-Printing the art and claiming the right of the character[s], but not the art itself-Sharing the art on their social media pages and/or using the art to promote themselves with proper credit to the artist

The following is considered copyright infringement:-Reproducing or using the artwork commercially-Taking credit for the creation of the artwork-Removing watermarks or signatures-Altering the artwork without my, the artist's, written consent

A purchase of commercial rights to the artwork may incur an additional fee calculated as a percentage of the original quoted price. With commercial rights, the client is allowed to make merchandise with the artwork, use it in books, covers, props, to make changes, and to promote their own brand with credit being required for usage of the artwork, even if altered or edited.

nsfw

I accept NSFW requests and can cater to a large range of interests. All NSFW pieces can have an optional SFW version made for publishing on social media sites.

I, the artist, have the right to decline or cancel a commission for any reason, and am not required to document or state that reason.
